Wilson County Sheriffs Office have arrested suspect regarding the Monday morning murder of a 40 year old man.

Wilson County Sheriffs Office had previously reported that a man was found dead as deputies entered a residence in Liberty early Monday morning after being dispatched to a ‘shots fired’ call.

The victim was identified as 40-year-old Jacob A. Harris who was located inside the house deceased and detectives treated the investigation as a homicide.

The Sheriff's office reported that a person of interest was being questioned by investigators and that there was no threat to the public as it appears to be an isolated incident.

On Tuesday Wilson County Sheriffs Office released the following information and photo:

"An arrest has been made as the investigation remains active regarding the death of a Wilson County man that took place during the early morning hours on early Monday morning.

The person of interest involved in the homicide investigation, 39-year-old Lindsay D. Harris, has been charged with one count of first degree murder. Harris currently remains in the Wilson County Sheriff’s Office Corrections Facility awaiting an initial bond hearing."
