The boots in one of these pictures are the work boots of one of our volunteers.

They were likely being worn by someone who was leaving for work to support their family.

This member made the decision to respond to a call for help that likely cost him time, and money at his job. The dress shoes in the second picture were likely being worn by one of our members who left church, and their family to respond to a call for service. I seriously doubt that either firefighter ever even questioned their decision.

This day in time lots of people have lost faith in humanity. Often times we wonder what this world is coming to. I post this to show that our sense of community is live and well in Lawrence County, Tennessee.

I am thankful for our organization of men and women that answer the call everyday, multiple times a day. They answer it not for money, but for the love of their communities.
