Mother-Daughter Duo Arrested for Theft of Property
1st through Wire Fraud
On November 18, 2025, Florence Police Department officers responded to 2701 Mall Road; Los Dos Hermanos concerning an employee stealing money from the business. Since late October, Kimberlin Dayana Montes Reyes has been stealing money from the business through wired money transfers by moving money from the business to her personal bank account. A total of $38,800 was sent through the wire transfers. Kimberlin Reyes’ mother, Claudia Estela Montes Reyes, would distract employees working with Kimberlin so the money could be transferred without anyone knowing. Money was being sent to both Kimberlin Reyes and Claudia Reyes’ personal accounts. Warrants for their arrests charging them with Theft of Property in the 1st Degree - Wire Fraud were sworn out by FPD Detectives.
On November 20, 2025, Officers located Kimberlin Reyes at the business and took her into custody. On November 20, 2025, Officers located Claudia Reyes on Ana Drive and took her into custody. Both are currently confined at the Lauderdale County Detention Center. Both females have a $30,000 bond.
All suspects are innocent until proven guilty.
