Our Leadership Lawrence class recently spent the day getting a behind-the-scenes look at the infrastructure,

industries, and economic development efforts that play an important role in Lawrence County’s continued growth.
Infrastructure & Economic Development Day kicked off with an overview of the economic development process, where participants heard from Ryan Egly and Ben Barnett about the work being done to attract investment, support existing businesses, and create new opportunities throughout Lawrence County.
The class also heard from Vic Pusser & Cameron McCannless with LUS gaining valuable insight into the infrastructure and utility services that support our growing community.
Throughout the day, the class toured Lawrenceburg Utility Systems’ electrical, water, and wastewater facilities, followed by visits to Modine and Butler Performance to learn more about their operations and contributions to our local economy.
A special thank you to Lawrenceburg Utility Systems (LUS) for sponsoring the day and to each of our industry partners for opening their doors and sharing their time and expertise with our class.
Experiences like these give our future leaders a better understanding of the people, businesses, and infrastructure working together to move Lawrence County forward
