Congratulations to the Lawrence County High School Band!   

On Saturday, October 19, 2024, The Lawrence County High School Band performed at the Forrest Rocket Tournament of Bands hosted by the Forrest High School Band in Chapel Hill, Tennessee.  The Lawrence County Band received an excellent rating and the color guard, percussion and drum major all received superior ratings.   The band finished in 4th place behind Shelbyville High School Band, LaVergne High School Band and Coffee County High School Band in Class D.  The color guard finished in 2nd place Class D and also placed 5th in the whole contest out of 18 bands.     The band’s production this season is titled REACH FOR THE STARS this show is not about the galaxy however, but about setting goals and dreams then working hard to achieve them.   The Lawrence County High School Band is directed by Darrell Boston.  Band Director Boston stated,

“Words just can’t express how proud I am of all these band members and their hard work.   True champions all the way around from my students to the parents. I have said many times, I am so proud to be their band director.  I am truly blessed.”  They have improved so much each week.
