Johnny Lee Pettus age 75 passed away Tuesday, September 29, 2026 at Countryside Health Care in Lawrenceburg, TN

He proudly served in the US Army Corps of Engineers during the Vietnam Era from 1969 to 1971. He was employed for many years at Gobble Trucking Company and later at Wilson oil Company.

He was preceded in death by his parents George Lee Pettus & Lucille Newton Pettus, Sister Glenda Clemons Daniels, Nieces Cindy Daniels Holman and Shelia Clemons Entrekin Parrish

He is survived by his brother Billy Pettus (Cindy), Nephews Jason Pettus (Kristin), Terry Clemons (Renea), &
Tim Daniels. Nieces Anna Leigh Pettus and Chanda Belew Foutch (Tommy)
several great nieces , nephews, & cousins. Special friend Carolyn Regenburg. Also his friends and the very special staff at Countryside healthcare that he cherished and considered as his family.

The family will receive friends at Coleman Memorial United Methodist Church on Saturday, October 10, 2026 from 12 - 2 pm.
A celebration of life will follow with Bro. Allan Black officiating. A private inurnment will be held at a later date at Pettus Cemetery in Lexington, AL.

The family suggests that memorials be made to Coleman Memorial United Methodist Church.
