A Tennessee kid demonstrates what being brave truly is.
So many of you continue to follow this brave 14-year-old’s fight with cancer since I first told you about him in April.
Evan’s been back and forth with this illness for years and finally this past spring doctors told him there was nothing more they could do.
Evan decided he want to leave the hospital and go home to Clay County, TN to live what time he had left.
Well, there was such an ourpouring of support from all of you that Evan decided he wanted to fight to live and agreed to undergo a difficult, new chemo treatment in hopes of then getting a bone marrowtransplant.
This ordeal is incredibly hard, but he refuses to give up.As you see, he somehow found the energy to go to a U-T game this is Incredible.
HERE NOW IS THE LATEST FROM HIS MOTHER STEPHANIE:

So many wonderful people ask about my Evan.
He is currently at home.
He doesn’t feel good most of the time.
His body is weak and tired, but his mind is stronger than ever.
THEY HAVE FOUND A BONE MARROW DONOR WHO IS ALMOST A PERFECT MATCH IN GERMANY.
The date was set to begin prep for the transplant, but it will now be postponed.
Evan had a bone marrow biopsy and they detected a small amount of leukemia cells in the marrow.
His cancer cells are extremely aggressive.
His doctor said that he would not put him through the difficulties of another transplant unless he is completely cancer free.
So, he will now go through a treatment to get him cancer free again.
The only curative option for him is to get a bone marrow transplant.
So for now, we will grind it out … take a day at a time … and do what we have to do to try to get rid of this leukemia for once and all.
This coming January will make nine years that Evan has had to fight for his life.
And so, the fight continues!!!
As many know, he loves the Vols!
His sister took him to the football game this past Saturday.
He enjoyed it, but was so tired that he slept through part of it.
