A 30-year-old woman missing from Maury County has been found dead, according to authorities.

A 30-year-old woman missing from Maury County has been found dead, according to authorities.

The two week search for Savannah Pierce ended Friday after the Maury County Sheriff’s Department made a post on Facebook announcing they had located her remains.

“Our thoughts are with her family during this incredibly difficult time, and we extend our deepest condolences to them,” wrote an official with MCSD.

Pierce was reported missing from her family earlier this month. Authorities said she last spoke with them Monday, Sept. 7.

Investigators are still probing the circumstances of her death, and News 2 is working to obtain more information.
