2 dead after Lewis County UTV crash, THP says

The Tennessee Highway Patrol said the vehicle ran off Buffalo Road, rolled over and struck a utility pole Friday night.

EWIS COUNTY, Tenn. (WSMV) - Two people died after a UTV crash in Lewis County, according to a preliminary report from the Tennessee Highway Patrol.

THP said 37-year-old Hunter Hudson and his passenger, 18-year-old Tallon Hinson, died after the crash around 11:30 p.m. Friday on Buffalo Road.

According to THP, Hudson was driving a 2025 Polaris RZR south on Buffalo Road when he went off the right side of the road while navigating a left curve.

After leaving the road, Hudson lost control of the UTV. THP said the vehicle rolled onto its side and struck a utility pole with its top.

THP said Hudson and Hinson died as a result of the crash.
