Downtown Lawrenceburg Advances in Competition for Free Outdoor Music Series Grant

Downtown Lawrenceburg has advanced to the public voting phase for a chance to bring a free, multi-year outdoor music series to the city starting in 2026. The initiative is part of the Levitt AMP Music Series Grant program, a collaboration between the national Levitt Foundation and the Tennessee Entertainment Commission, with support from the Tennessee Department of Economic & Community Development and the Tennessee Department of Tourist Development.

If selected, Lawrenceburg could receive up to $120,000 over three years—up to $40,000 per year—to host a Levitt AMP Music Series on the public square. The series will feature professional musicians across diverse genres, activating underused public spaces and creating an inclusive, vibrant community destination. Across Tennessee, the grant program will fund up to six local organizations, potentially providing as many as 180 free concerts statewide.

Public support is a key part of the selection process. Voting is open from September 5–15, 2025, online at levitt.org/vote or via text at 877-409-5525 using the keyword “LAWCO.” Each voter may select up to five proposals. The number of votes received will be one of the factors the Levitt Foundation and Tennessee Entertainment Commission use to determine finalists, with grant recipients scheduled to be announced on November 18, 2025.

Downtown Lawrenceburg is encouraging community members to participate in the voting process and to share the initiative with friends, family, colleagues, and neighbors to demonstrate local support.

The Levitt Foundation is a private family foundation that strengthens communities by activating public spaces through free outdoor concerts.
