Giles County Firefighters had a special rescue over the weekend.

Giles County Fire and Rescue received a call on Saturday about a cat being stuck under an ice storage box in front of a local store.

GCFR members went out and freed the kitten, store employees decided to keep the kitten and named it, Little General

Our volunteers do so much more than house fire and wrecks… Saving cats is part of the job.
