Bad Day for a Drug Dealer in Maury County

Last week, a traffic stop by the Maury County Sheriff’s Drug & Flex Unit turned into a major drug bust. Deputies seized:

6 pounds of methamphetamine

2 ounces of cocaine

1 ounce of fentanyl

A bag of unidentified pills

To put it in perspective: just 1 gram of fentanyl can kill nearly 500 people.

Concerned by the quantity and danger of the substances, drug investigators pursued a search warrant for a related residence. That search uncovered even more illicit drugs, including:

Additional methamphetamine

Psilocybin mushrooms

More pills

1 pound of marijuana

Multiple bottles of promethazine cough syrup

The total street value of the seized drugs exceeds $80,000.

Thanks to the swift action of our Drug & Flex Unit, these dangerous substances are off the streets.
