CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. (WSMV) - Five kayakers, including three children, were rescued Sunday after becoming stranded on the Red River, according to Clarksville Fire Rescue.
Crews responded to Robert Clark Park around 4:45 p.m. for reports of kayakers stranded on the West Fork Red River.
CFR said crews rescued two adults and three children who had become stranded on kayaks due to flash flooding near the bridge at Broadripple Drive and Tiny Town Road.
The group was safely out of the water by 5:17 p.m. Sunday, CFR said.
No injuries were reported.
