Lawrence County Sheriff’s Office Releases June 2025 Activity Report

The Lawrence County Sheriff’s Office has released its monthly report, detailing law enforcement activity for June 2025. According to the data, deputies responded to a total of 1,088 calls for service, ranging from civil matters to criminal investigations and public safety responses.

Of these calls, 311 resulted in arrests, marking a steady level of enforcement for the summer month. Deputies also conducted 122 traffic stops and responded to 35 vehicle crashes across the county.

Domestic violence continued to be a concerning trend, with 45 incidents reported. The department also handled 24 funeral escorts, 19 mental health transports, and 11 suicide attempts, reflecting the broad range of community and crisis-related support services undertaken by deputies.

In terms of criminal activity, the sheriff’s office recorded:

10 theft reports

10 vandalism incidents

9 fraud cases

22 burglar alarms

30 reports of suspicious persons or activity

Additionally, officers responded to 62 animal-related calls, a notable figure amid the summer season. No SWAT or Taser deployments were reported during the month.

While the volume of service calls remained high, the department noted zero SWAT activations and zero Taser deployments, indicating that most situations were resolved without the use of force.

The Lawrence County Sheriff’s Office continues to encourage residents to remain vigilant and report suspicious activity, emphasizing community cooperation as a key factor in maintaining safety and order.
