A local citizen is calling for us to come together in this community to help an elderly man fund his much needed retirement.

Joey Terry of Loretto released the following statement and photo on Facebook:

"Hey folks, listen up. I got a request for you. I got a gentleman here. His name is Jim Schaefer here in Lawrenceburg. He builds birdhouses. Please come out here and help him out. He sells them for $15 a piece y'all come out and help him. It's all he's got going on. I really appreciate it. Thank you in advance. Even if you buy him one and give it to somebody. Be a blessing of this gentleman. He's about to give up. He's really in a hard place. Y'all see him on the side of the road here in Lawrenceburg. He's got birdhouses for sale. Y'all please come by here and help him out!"
