NATIONAL SENIOR HEALTH & FITNESS DAY

Today marked Lawrence County’s fifth year of participation in National Senior Health & Fitness Day — a nationwide initiative focused on promoting health, wellness, and active lifestyles for older adults.

Organized through the Mature Market Resource Center, this annual event highlights the importance of regular physical activity while recognizing the efforts of local organizations working to improve the health and well-being of senior citizens throughout our community.

County Executive Assistant Christian Tyree had the opportunity to speak, pray, and read the proclamation during today’s event.

Special thanks to Lawrence County Senior Center Director Stephanie Sinclair, her dedicated staff, Rotary Park, and all of the event sponsors. Their support and partnership played an important role in making this year’s event a success.
