Body recovered from Nashville Shores marina, Metro police say

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) — Metro police are investigating a possible drowning near Nashville Shores.

Police were called to the scene on Tuesday night, around 5:30, after a boater spotted a body floating in Percy Priest Lake off Bell Road near the Nashville Shores Water Park.

Police told News 2 the body — found fully clothed and identified as an adult male — has been in the lake for at least a few days. The body showed no signs of trauma, and there was no true form of identification.

Investigators found a prescription bottle in the man’s pockets, and they will attempt to match the identification with fingerprints, according to police.According to the Metro Nashville Police Department, there is no indication of how the death will be classified.
