Florence Alabama Police Department responded to a report of a death on Wednesday.

 

"On April 24, 2024, at approximately 8:45 AM, officers responded to a report of a death in a residence in the 1200 block of West Mobile Street.

A family member found Marshai Nichole Gayden, 31 years of age, deceased inside Gayden's home and called the police. Officers, upon arrival, set up a crime scene due to suspicious circumstances.

Detectives responded and processed the scene. Gayden's body was sent to the Alabama Department of Forensic Sciences for an autopsy.
