"VEHICLE EXTRICATION

On Sunday night at 8:48PM MCFD was alerted to a single vehicle roll over on Hwy 43 near the Workman Bridge.

Responding units: Engines 22 & 25, Squad 32, Rescue 21, Mt Pleasant Rescue 81 on mutual aid, District 22, Division 30, Deputy 20.

Units arrived to find a single occupant heavily entrapped in a precarious position which required advanced tactics to stabilize and lift the vehicle simultaneously. The extrication was completed 32 minutes after the arrival of the first apparatus.

An air medical helicopter suffered a mechanical issue on scene which required Hwy 43 to be closed for an extended period of time overnight. The patient was transported in stable condition to VUMC by Maury Regional EMS and the air medical crew.

We appreciate the mutual aid response from Mt Pleasant FD and the hard work their members put in towards a successful rescue operation.
