MCMINNVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) — Authorities have identified two people who were found dead inside a McMinnville home.
According to the McMinnville Police Department, officers were sent to a home on Cherokee Drive at approximately 4:20 p.m. on Monday, April 20, to respond to a welfare check.
When law enforcement arrived at the home, they reportedly found two people—identified as 46-year-old Manda Perkins and 54-year-old Clarence Hudson—both dead from apparent gunshot wounds.
Officials said a preliminary investigation indicates that Hudson shot Perkins before dying from a self-inflicted gunshot wound.
“The scene was processed and investigated by detectives with the McMinnville Police Department, with assistance from the 31st Judicial District Attorney’s Office and the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation,” the MPD wrote in a release about the incident.
No additional details were immediately released.
