Wilson County Sheriff's Office are informing residence

of the continued reports they are receiving of individuals impersonating deputies online and over the phone in an attempt to fraudulently obtain funds through bail bonding, jury duty, and outstanding warrants scams.

In these incidents offenders make contact with victims and advise them they are delinquent on payments, have a loved one incarcerated, or have missed jury duty. The offender then requests funds from the victims.

These payments may be requested in many forms including transfers, digital currency such as bitcoin, or in person cash payments.
