A Facebook marketplace meetup to buy a PlayStation 5 turns into an armed robbery at a Tennessee Walmart.

Metro Nashville Police Department responded to a reported armed robbery at the Walmart Parking lot on Dickerson Pike where the suspect had already fled the scene before officers arrived.

Upon arrival Officers spoke with the victim who told police that he had an online agreement through Facebook marketplace to meet Seth Waters at the Walmart parking lot to buy a PlayStation 5.

The victim told police that he approached Waters’ vehicle where he could see the PlayStation 5 in the passenger seat so he handed Waters the agreed upon amount in cash, and after Waters had counted the money he asked the victim where the rest of the money was.

The victim told police that he refused to give Waters more money, and that is when Waters pulled out a black semi-automatic handgun before driving away with the money and the PlayStation 5.

The victim stated that he was walking alongside the moving vehicle asking for his money back when Waters pointed the gun right at him, and that's when the victim stated he stopped following the vehicle.

Waters then reportedly drove off in the direction of Dickerson Pike, with the victim's money and PlayStation 5.

This incident took place on March 29th and During the investigation, detectives were able to match Waters’ description to another incident on April 3, where he was arrested on an unrelated outstanding warrant.

Waters was arrested and charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon on Friday, April 19. His full list of charges is forthcoming.
