Experience Tennessee Announces Official Weather Partnership with Tennessee Valley Weather and Southern Tennessee Weather

New “Travelers Forecast” Page to Provide Hyperlocal Weather Coverage for
South Central Tennessee

Lynchburg, Tenn. (April 7, 2026) – Experience Tennessee and the South Central Tennessee Tourism Association are proud to announce an official partnership with Tennessee Valley Weather and Southern Tennessee Weather to provide expanded, hyperlocal weather coverage across the 13-county South Central Tennessee region.

This partnership will introduce a new Travelers Forecast page on ExperienceTN.com, designed specifically to help visitors plan their trips with accurate, regionally focused weather information. In addition to the digital component, the collaboration will include print media support within Experience Tennessee publications and coordinated social media content highlighting weather forecasts for major festivals, events, and attractions across the region.

Ryan French, executive director and CEO of the South Central Tennessee Tourism Association, emphasized the importance of weather in travel decision-making. “As an organization, our goal is to provide a platform for visitors to plan their itinerary to the region as well as navigate all elements of their trip while they are here, including weather. In fact, weather may be one of the most influential tools people use to decide what they are doing, and when they are doing it. Our region sits between metro markets, so to have professional meteorologists and weather platforms like Tennessee Valley Weather and Southern Tennessee Weather is an incredible asset to visitors and locals alike.”

Under the agreement, Tennessee Valley Weather will provide coverage for counties west of Interstate 65, while Southern Tennessee Weather will serve counties east of Interstate 65 — ensuring comprehensive, locally driven forecasting across the entire South Central Tennessee footprint.

Ben Luna, Tennessee Valley Weather, said, “Our mission is simple - deliver the most accurate, hyperlocal forecasts possible. By doing that, we not only help people stay safe and informed, but we also play a role in supporting tourism and the incredible events that bring our region to life.”

The hyperlocal approach is unique to this partnership. Rather than relying solely on national weather models, professional meteorologists in the region will provide forecasts tailored to community events and travel considerations, offering visitors practical insight as they plan their experiences.

“Weather plays a major role in daily life across our communities, especially when it comes to outdoor events, festivals, and travel across the region, Elijah Kirby, meteorologist and founder, Southern Tennessee Weather, said. “Our focus has always been providing clear, hyperlocal forecasts that people can trust. I’m excited to partner with Experience Tennessee to help visitors, residents, and event organizers alike stay informed and make the most of everything South Central Tennessee has to offer.”

The new Travelers Forecast page will provide regularly updated forecasts, event-specific outlooks, and severe weather updates — serving both visitors planning weekend getaways and locals preparing for major festivals like Bonnaroo, Mule Day, the National Banana Pudding Festival, and other signature South Central Tennessee events.
By integrating trusted local meteorologists into the Experience Tennessee platform, the partnership reinforces the organization’s mission: not just to help people travel Tennessee — but to truly Experience Tennessee.

French concluded, “Ben and Elijah are consummate professionals who are passionate about delivering accurate and thoughtful forecasts and weather information. This is a partnership and model that makes sense for everyone involved and provides travelers one more tool to plan the best visit possible to Tennessee.”
