Two garages destroyed in reported explosion, fire in Giles County

The two garages were deemed total losses, GCFR said.

PULASKI, Tenn. (WSMV) - Two garages were destroyed in a fire Friday afternoon, according to the Giles County Fire and Rescue.

Crews responded to the York Hollow Road area for a reported explosion with heavy smoke around 4 p.m.

As crews were responding to the scene, GCFR said they were informed the incident was a structure fire.

When firefighters arrived at the scene, they found two garages fully engulfed in flames along with fire on the surrounding grass and woods. Heavy wind also continued pushing the flames.

GCFR was dispatched to a reported explosion with heavy smoke around 4pm in the York Hollow Rd area. During response we were informed it would be a structure fire, arriving units found 2 garages fully engulfed with surrounding grass and woods on fire with heavy wind pushing the flames. Members were on scene for about 4 hours. Both structures were total loss. No injuries reported.
