Lawrence County Fire Rescue Units have just returned to service from a structure fire in the South East Fire District. High wind conditions continue to increase as the day goes on. These wind conditions have definitely fueled fire spread over the past 24 hours.
In the past 24 hours Lawrence County Fire Rescue Units have responded to 10 emergency calls for service. Included in the incident count is 4 reported fires, and 3 reported Motor Vehicle Injury crashes.

Our personnel are currently attending a weather briefing at the Lawrence County Emergency Management Office. We will share more information about today’s forecast weather event.
