High winds caused damage throughout Lawrence County Wednesday evening.

 

High winds moving through Lawrence County on caused scattered damage and power outages.

The storm system entered Lawrence County at approximately 2:30 PM on Wednesday (March 11, 2026) after producing reported damage in neighboring Wayne County, Tennessee. Within minutes, power outages began appearing on the Lawrenceburg Utility Systems outage tracker at approximately 2:40 PM, indicating impacts to electrical service in portions of the county.

A home in Lawrence County reported damage to Lawrenceburg now when a tree was struck by lightning along with Lawrenceburg Lawrence County Emergency Management reporting that Local storm spotters reported damage to building siding in the Ethridge community, particularly near Ethridge Red Hill Road and Buffalo Road.

Additional damage reports were received along East Edan Road and Campbellsville Pike, where strong winds were observed moving through the area.

Radar analysis from Tennessee Valley Weather indicated turbulence within the storm as it passed through the area; however, it is currently believed that damage was caused by straight-line winds.

Personnel from the Lawrence County Emergency Management Agency conducted a damage survey Wednesday afternoon to assess the affected areas and determine the type and extent of wind damage.

Residents are encouraged to report storm damage to local authorities and remain alert for additional weather updates as assessments continue.
