A student was found with a loaded gun inside a Tennessee middle school.

At Station Camp Middle School on Thursday morning the resource officer was told by another student that someone had a loaded gun in their backpack.
The resource officer responded immediately where he was able to pull the student aside and found the gun before any shots could be fired, according to Sumner County school leaders.
Officials said the incident happened as students were heading to their first class of the day.
A constant stream of parents began picking up their students after hearing about the incident.
Several other parents said they were frustrated with the school’s communication about the incident. It happened around 7 a.m., but they did not get a message about it until after 10 a.m.
School leaders said the student who brought the gun to school has been expelled.
