Lawrence County, Tennessee Government
REGULAR SESSION: February 17, 2026

The Lawrence County Board of Commissioners met for its Regular Session on Tuesday evening. Highlights from the meeting include:

✅ Approval of a resolution honoring the life and service of Charles W. “Charlie” Holt, Jr., including naming the Lawrence County Judicial Annex in his honor.
✅ Ryan Durham was elected as Lawrence County Attorney.
✅ Misti Baker was appointed as Lawrence County Purchasing Agent.
✅ Approval of the 2026 Lawrence County Road List.
✅ Barry Luffman was appointed to the Agricultural Extension Service Committee.
✅ Scott Franks was appointed to the Tennessee Southern Railroad Authority.
✅ Approval of a recommendation to TDOT to designate a bridge in honor of Johnny R. Thompson.
✅ Circuit Court Clerk Tommy Lee Kidd and Library Director Marie Brennan were both appointed to the County Public Records Commission.
