A man reports fraud to the Lawrenceburg Police Department after attempting to purchase a dog.

On Monday the Lawrenceburg Police Department spoke with an individual in reference to fraud after the person sent money to purchase a dog.

The victim told the officer that they had spoke with someone online through email that claimed to be with Quality Dalmatian, and on Friday sent the person $850 through Venmo.

The next correspondence was suppose to be paperwork sent on the dog for the victim to sign, but after sending the payment there has been no response.

The victim has contacted Venmo in an attempt to get their $850 back, and a report was requested.
