Authorities investigate report of stolen vehicle

Local police officials were asked to investigate after a Lawrenceburg couple discovered their vehicle had been stolen.

Officers with the Lawrenceburg Police Department were dispatched to a home on Groh Street shortly after noon on Wednesday.

The residents reported that their 2004 Toyota Camry had been stolen by an acquaintance.

The car is described as tan in color with body damage to the front, rear and right side.The husband told officers that he had been using the car and had parked it in their driveway.

He told officers that he had left the keys inside the vehicle, and that his wallet, which contained his bank cards and approximately $500 cash, was lying on the seat.

He said that he saw an acquaintance get into the carand leave at around 2:00 a.m., but that he never returned. Loss is the case was said to total around $4,500.
