Career Day At Ethridge Elementary

On the first day of November, Ethridge Middle School Students participated in the Second Semi-Annual Career Day.

  A variety of guests from the six National Career Clusters were invited. Students were excited when they heard from the speakers about their respective professions.  

Students were inspired to know that many of the speakers began as students in Lawrence County Schools.  

These talented people are making a difference in the world and enjoying their careers  Ethridge Faculty would like to give a big "Thank You" to each speaker and their employers who allowed them to spend the day at school.  Speakers included Jeremy Lee, Air Traffic Controller Memphis Airport, Adam Moore, Engineer/ Robitics with DRM, Molly Pitts, DVM, Shoals Animal Hospital, Randy Hillhouse, Attorney, Clint Newton, TN Game Warden, Sara Saliba, Foreign lanuage, Allen Voss, Radiology Department, Crockett Hospital, Tina Creecy, RN, OB Dept. at Crockett Hospital, Joe Perry, Certified Diesel Technition, Heritage Automotive, Kendra Cobb, Ethridge Daycare, Sgt. Jason Kelley, State Trooper, John Burleson, Auto Mechanic for Sloan Ford Company, Jaqueline Norwood, Chef, Dustin Boman, Air Evac Paramedic, and Staff Sargeant Scott Durham, National Guard Recruiter  

Thanks also to the ladies who helped prepare the refreshments for our guests.  

Finally, thanks to Tennessee Technology Center at Hohenwald who allowed our Ethridge Eighth Grade Students the opportunity to tour their facility and stimulate further interest in selection and variety of Careers. This tour occurred on October 25, 2013.
