Elderly Leoma man dies in wreck Tuesday

An elderly Leoma man died as the result of a head-on crash that occurred on Rabbit Trail Road Tuesday evening. The crash was investigated by troopers with the Tennessee Highway Patrol.

Reports show that the crash occurred just before 6 p.m. when driver Marcus Kennedy, a forty-twoyear old resident of Leoma, was traveling southbound near Ramah Road. Kennedy's vehicle crossed the center line into the path of driver Billy Reedy, Sr., age 82. Reedy was killed in the crash while Kennedy was airlifted for medical attention in Nashville.

Troopers noted that drugs were a factor in the crash and that Kennedy will be facing criminal charges.
