Home on Matthews Street resident is burglarized

Lawrenceburg Police officers were asked to conduct an investigation into a recent burglary at a home on Matthews Street.The fifty-eight year old resident reported to officers that he had noticed that his basement had been broken into.

The door had been pried open, resulting in damage.

He told officers that the crime could have occurred up to two weeks before he noticed it. A Lincoln MIG welder was stolen and a three foot argon tank.

The victim said that the person responsible had moved a jet ski trailer, as well.

Altogether, loss and damages were estimated to total $750.Anyone who has information about the crime should contact the police department at 931-762-2276
