Decatur Alabama Police Department are looking for suspect who was reported to be armed.

 

On July 29, 2024, at approximately 11:28 a.m., Officers with the Decatur Police Department were dispatched to a domestic call on Douthit St. SW.

While officers were en route, a male who was reported to be armed, identified as Corey Griffitt, 31, left on foot.

Officers maintained a perimeter near Douthit St. SW and Canterbury Ave. SW in search of Griffitt. After a search of the area, officers were unable to locate Griffitt and cleared the scene.

Griffitt is described as being 6'1" tall and approximately 140 lbs. He was last seen wearing a gray shirt and blue jeans.
