People found trespassing inside a Lawrenceburg home are arrested

Lawrenceburg Now

Law enforcement officers found a group of people trespassing inside of a Lawrenceburg home last week and all of them are now facing drug charges.

The owner of a home on Michael Circle requested that deputies with the Lawrence County Sheriff’s Department check the property after being told that someone was at the residence. He said that there was not supposed to be anyone on the property and gave deputies a description of all vehicles that should be there.

In addition to the vehicle described by the owner, deputies found that there was a Chevrolet truck and a Chrysler van at the home. A woman was inside and told deputies that she was house-sitting and seemed upset that they were at the residence.

Deputies asked to see her identification. She went inside to get it and one of the deputies followed. Her driver’s license identified the woman as Brandy Sue Murray, age 35, who resides on Waterloo Street in Lawrenceburg.

Deputies began to search the house and were able to find three more intruders hiding in a bathroom. They were Richard Lee Summers, Jr., 37, of Danley Road in Iron City, Roger Eugene Cram, Jr., of 42, of First Street, Lawrenceburg, and Michael Ray Cram, 50, of Warren Drive in Waynesboro.

Deputies found a variety of items of drug paraphernalia in the home along with a crystal substance believed to be methamphetamine and prescription bottles that were prescribed to two other women.

While they were transporting the four to the Lawrence County Jail, deputies say that both Roger Cram and Michael Cram began having health problems. They said it appeared that Roger Cram was having a heart attack and that Michael Cram was having seizures. They were both transported instead to the hospital. They were both cited on charges of burglary, possession of Schedule II drugs (morphine) and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Murray was booked at the jail on the charges of burglary, possession of Schedule II narcotics (meth), possession of Schedule IV narcotics (tramadol), possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of stolen property, and filing a false report. Summers was booked for burglary, possession of Schedule II narcotics (morphine) and possession of drug paraphernalia.
