Sheriff's Office Makes Arrests in Relation to Recent Murder

Special Agents from the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation, working alongside authorities from Tennessee Fire Investigation Services and the Lawrence County Sheriff’s Office, have obtained indictments for three men in connection to the robbery and homicide of a Lawrenceburg man earlier this year.

On January 21st, at the request of 22nd District Attorney General Brent Cooper, TBI Agents joined the investigation into the death of Connis Ray Blake, Jr., shortly after authorities found the body of the 50-year-old in the burned remains of his Ethridge Redhill Road home.

During the course of the investigation, Agents developed information leading to Paul McNeal (DOB 12-14-70), Jimmy Dale Hogan (DOB 10-4-65), and Charles Timothy Rowden (DOB 11-6-67) as the individuals responsible for the crime.

On Wednesday, the Lawrence County Grand Jury returned indictments for all three men, charging each with one count of 1st Degree Premeditated Murder, one count of Felony Murder, one count of Aggravated Arson, one count of Especially Aggravated Robbery, and one count of Conspiracy to Commit Murder.

Authorities subsequently arrested all three men and booked them into the Lawrence County Jail, where, at the time of this release, each was being held on $1.5 million bond.
