A Tennesse Mayor was arrested for criminal conspiracy, but his name remained on a ballot.

The Mayor of Red Boiling Springs, Joel Coe, was arrested for criminal conspiracy Thursday, but his name remained on a ballot in order to save his seat for the election that was scheduled for Saturday.

Coe was also charged with tampering with evidence, and was messaging someone about picking up a pill press to use in the illegal manufacture of drugs such as Fentanyl and heroin.

Officers also found messages that described Coe hiding the press from authorities.

His bail was set at $125,000. Election information has yet to be released.
