Passerby reports seeing suspicious vehicle at burglarized home
Lawrenceburg Now
A passerby has been able to give a description of a suspicious vehicle she noticed at the scene of a recent home burglary.
Deputies with the Lawrence County Sheriff’s Department report that they investigated the burglary at a home on Lexington Highway in the Loretto area. Residents reported that they had returned to their home to find that a drawer had been removed from their dresser and the contents dumped onto the floor.
They also discovered that the back door had been kicked open and some items had been stolen. Reported missing were a jewelry box and contents along with a Canon camera. Loss and damages were estimated to total $9,430.
A friend of the victims reported that as she passed by, she had noticed a blue Ford car in the driveway at around the time the burglary took place.
The case currently remains under investigation through the department’s Criminal Investigation Division. Anyone who has information pertinent to the investigation is encouraged to contact the department at 931-762-3626.
