Bank reports counterfeit bills in deposit

Police officials were asked to investigate Monday after counterfeit bills were found to have been included in a business deposit.

Reports filed through the Lawrenceburg Police Department show that officers answered a call to Community Bank on north Locust Avenue at approximately 8:40 a.m.

Employees indicated they had found two fake $20 bills in a deposit made by employees of Speedy Cash. Reports show that officers later spoke with Speedy Cash employees.

They were able to providethem with the name of a person who may have been involved in the transaction. At the time reports were filed investigation in the case was on-going
