Deputies report that the front door had been kicked in, with the glass lying inside the home. A television had been knocked to the floor, breaking it. The only thing that appeared to be missing, residents said, was a large picture of an elephant. Loss and damages totaled approximately $2,000.

Deputies responded to a call of a vandalized vehicle at a Weakley Loop Road. The owner reported someone had busted the windshield out of her 1999 Toyota Tacoma. There was a large dent and a scratch on the driver side door. Damages were assessed at $800.

Vehicle burglary

A Savage 223 bolt action rifle, backpack, hunting knife, and cash were reportedly stolen out of a vehicle at a Bishop Road residence. The victim reported to sheriff's deputies that he had heard his dog barking during the night, but didn't think it was anything to be concerned about. Loss in the case was said to total $585.

An Oaks Fork Road resident found his truck door partially open during the weekend. He reported to deputies that someone had entered the vehicle and stole his wallet, which contained $400 cash, and various coins. A second vehicle at the home was burglarized, as well and a carton of cigarettes stolen. Loss was in excess of $1,000.

Vehicle burglary

Deputies responded to a Wesley Chapel Road home Saturday where the resident reported a $710 loss as the result of a vehicle burglary. He reported noticing that the seats had been pushed up in the truck. Someone had rummaged around inside and stolen a Springfield .40 caliber pistol along with a pair of red Oakley sunglasses.

A burglary at an Oaks Ford Road was reported Saturday to sheriff's deputies. Residents reported that burglars gained entry through the garage area. The only things that appeared to be missing were two, six-packs of Mike's Hard Lemonade that were taken from the refrigerator. The residents reported that two vehicles were burglarized, as well. A hunting backpack, hunting knife, deer skinning tools, hunting gloves, pocket knife and two flash lights were taken along with three boxes of ammunition. Loss was placed at $377.

A Park Grove Road resident filed a complaint with deputies Sunday, reporting that she had experienced losses in excess of $200,000 when her home was burglarized. The glass had been busted out of a door. Inside, nineteen frames with arrowheads were stolen along with a plastic jug containing around $300 worth of change.

Burglary

Deputies responded to a shop building on Grassy Branch Road Monday where the owner reported the lock was cut off a side door, allowing burglars access to the interior. A number of tools were stolen including a 220 Chicago Arch Welder, welding helmet, Stihl pole saw, Milwaukee impact driver, Ryobi drills, Popular Man racket wrenches, black impact sockets, and two Stihl Demo saws. Loss due to the crime was estimated to be $4,626.

Vehicle vandalism

Damages totaling $5,000 were reported by a local resident Tuesday. The victim reported that she had loaned her Chevrolet Avalanche to her daughter for a couple of days. During that time the vehicle was keyed all the way down the driver side. Both the front and back bumpers were damaged and several damaged areas caused by keys were located in the plastic piece of the bed. The front driver-side wheel had been damaged, as well.

Burglaries

Deputies took reports regarding burglaries of forty-eight units at a Buffalo Road storage facility on Sunday. Department detectives are continuing to investigate the matter.
