Domestic call yields drug arrest

A domestic call to a Holtsford Street home early Wednesday morning resulted in the arrest of one resident on drug charges.According to reports filed through the Lawrenceburg Police Department, officers answered a call to the home at 2:24 a.m.

Although when responding they were informed that a domestic altercation had occurred, they found that no altercation had actually taken place.

They were informed, instead, that resident Tawanna Blade Lang, age 25, “threw some things around in the house due to being high on drugs and throwing a fit.”

When they patted down Lang for weapons officer discovered he had on his person plastic baggies bearing a residue believed to be from methamphetamine along with a baggie that held a shard of a crystal substance believed to be meth and a set of digital scales.

Lang was transported to the Lawrence County Jail where he was processed on charges of possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of methamphetamine.

He was incarcerated under an $11,000 bond.Lang will answer the charges in General Sessions Court on February 1, 2019.
