Heavy amounts of cash were on the line for the final bracket race of the season at US 43 Dragway.

On Saturday night, October 1st, nearly $10000 of total purse money was on the line!

The Big Money brought out the best racers the south has to offer. Pro racers came out in force to battle it out for the cash! In the end, there were two drivers who rose above the rest.

Culeoka's Jeff Mandell and Lawrenceburg's Chris Fann put on a performance for the ages en-route to a final round showdown. Mandell wasn't to be denied, going .507 on the tree and running a dead on 4.91 at 137.99 in his Pro Fab dragster over Fann's 6.98 at 94.55mph.

In Footbrake action, Pulaski's John Higgins and Florence native Eric Johnson each put together a string of impressive passes to earn the right to face off in the final round.

They left the starting line together, but at the finish line it was all Johnson. Eric took the win running an ET of 6.64 at 102.01mph over Higgins' breakout 7.49 at 91.98mph run. Congratulations to all the Big Money winners at US 43 Dragway!
