Let’s Polka
Can you dance? Well my two older sisters had me dancing when I was 5 years old. I thought everyone did.
I could Polka, Jitterbug, Charleston and many other dances.
Back then I lived the most of my childhood in Cleveland, Ohio. The Polka Capital of the USA. As I grew up here in Tennessee I found out that not too many people could dance.
They told me that I must have been going to the honky tonk. I did not know what they were talking about. I did not know what a honky tonk was. Later I found out that it was a roadhouse where people got drunk.
Well let me tell you that they did drink beer but, no one got drunk. Anyway I sure do like to dance.
At my late age of 75 I think it is a very healthy thing to do. I play the saxophone and love to play Polka music on it.
So come on down and let us dance and we will enjoy life at it was meant to be. Can you Polka? (In Heaven there ain’t no beer that is why we drink it here when we are no longer here our friends will be drinking our beer)
Thank you very much.
That is my opinion. If it is not yours, it ought to be.
