Are You Old Enough?

Are you old enough to remember  when you heard someone say, "Do you think that Roy Rogers will sell Trigger if he gets drafted?"  How about, knock knock, who is there?  

Car hops at the Frosty Drive in., Princess Theater on the south side of the square?  Four gas stations on Cyclone Corner, Dixie Grill Cafe, Blue Ribbon Cafe, Shaw's Cafe at mile crossing, LCHS 30 piece band that won first place concert band. at  Tennessee Contest in Murfreesboro.

Bud Adams busting through the middle for 20 yards, Sonny Duke making the big shots at basketball games?  

I remember all this and much more.  How much times have changed. I remember my dad talking about old times. Now I can do the same.  

Drive in theater on hwy. 43 north of town.  Freddie Thompson (Fred) running around with the big boys trying to fit in.

I am sure I grew up in a very pleasant time in Lawrenceburg  and I will remember this.  Let us sing as the Statler Brothers did (we remember this).
