The Tennessee Landowner Incentive Program (TNLIP) still has cost-share available for landowners to install Best Management Practices (BMP) that will benefit livestock producers and protect species of conservation concern habitat.

Many of the practices can help improve herd health and profitability. The TNLIP program will pay 75 percent of the cost to install BMPs that will benefit the habitat of aquatic species of conservation concern.

BMPs include streambank fencing, heavy use areas for livestock, stream crossings, alternate water sources, streambank and channel stabilization, riparian forest buffer, and native grass buffers. 

Funds are also available to protect caves and sinkholes through fencing, heavy use areas, cave gates, tree buffers, and native grass buffers.

Landowners located in the Buffalo, Caney Fork, Clinch, Conasauga, Collins, Duck,  Elk,  Hiwassee, Nolichucky, or Powell watersheds may qualify based on species of conservation concern that are found there.
