Good Job Crockett Hospital
When I moved here a little over a year ago, all over town people were giving Crockett Hospital a bad name. How rudely patients were treated and just in general a uncaring experience. I had heard so much negativity that I was afraid to go there.
The other day, I had a little accident in the kitchen and was in need of stitches. My friend drove me to Crockett Hospital Emergency Room. I was greeted at the door and given directions to the proper location.
The waiting room was very clean and did not have that hospital smell. The clerk who took my information was very pleasant and responded quickly. Before I could sit down, they called me back to a room.
The exam room was also very clean, cleaner that some ER's I have been to. On the wall was a board stating who was on duty.(Never seen that in ER) My nurse took my vitals and information, we joked a little and she looked at my wound.
It was not long after she left that the doctor came in. He had a wonderful bedside manner. We talked as he took care of the stitches. I felt no pain at all, he was very gentle. Once I got bandaged up I was on my way back home. I was there maybe an hour and half.
As we were walking to the car, I turned to my friend and said," I have to give my overall first visit to Crockett Emergency an A+. I know better than to listen to what other people say. It is best you find out for yourself. Hats off to the staff of Crockett Emergency Department.
