Federal Government Control

By no means do I claim to have all the answers. I have no problem with people helping people as you suggested either.

I believe we ought to do so when it is within our power. What I am opposed to is more Federal Government control of our lives.

As far as health care goes, I think health care in this country is the best in the world. The problem is that it is too expensive to afford w/o insurance and some can't even afford insurance.

You are highly intelligent individuals and I know you already know this. What I think needs to happen is for health care providers and community leaders in every community to formulate a plan whereby health care can be provided equally to everyone at an affordable cost.

I think one thing that runs the cost up is those who access the care and don't pay for it, either because they can't or won't.

Those with insurance make up part of the difference through inflated prices.

Have you seen a hospital bill lately? Look at some of the outrageous charges. I believe local communities, counties, parishes or townships know better how to solve the problems in their community than does the federal government.

I believe there solutions to this problem that the federal government will never know and any action on their part will multiply the problem, not solve it.

Why not reduce the size of the federal government by doing away, systematically I might add, with the programs that drain our economy and funnel the money Uncle Sam spends on these programs to local communities to solve the problems in their community.

Why is this different from BHO's plan? Because this idea keeps the money in local areas rather than sending it to Washington so they can waste it then print more money to "stimulate" the economy. Bureaucrats in Washington don't know how to solve the problems in Main Street USA.
