Another Race Come And Gone

.Well, here we are. Another race come and gone; we have almost all new commissioners, a new sheriff, and a new county exec. So what does all that mean exactly?

Well for most counties it would mean a definite change. Meaning things would get better. Which is what I’m hoping does happen. Because this county definitely needs change for the better; not saying that what we had was terrible, but could have been better.

After all, being in office is all about making changes.  Isn’t that why people run for office? You would think that, but there are some people who just do it to make their résumé’s look good. Which I hope is not the case for these newly elected officials.

Even though there is evidence of one newly elected official saying the only reason why he ran is because he needed a job. Hopefully, these people are ready for the tasks at hand. And be ready to make a change. And they must remember that they work for us, and do things for us.

I like what Mike Risner said in his video for lawrenceburgnow.com. which pretty much said that the county works for the citizens, and they must make the citizens happy. Which is exactly right, these people are voted in by the citizens of the county.

So you would think they would break their necks to make them happy so they could get voted in next time, but not always the case. So we will see how the next few years go. And see if we got it right.

If not we will try again next election time. cause that’s the way the circle of life goes.
