Martha Alice Robertson Frazier, age 88 of Lawrenceburg died at Maury Regional Medical Center Sunday, April 13, 2014.  She was a native of Wilson County, TN., and a member of Pulaski Street Church of Christ.  She was a retired teacher of Lawrence and Giles County.

Georgia Virginia Story Perry

Georgia Virginia Story Perry, age 90 of Lawrenceburg, Tennessee passed away Tuesday, April 8, 2014 in Florence, AL.  She resided at NHC Brink Street in Lawrenceburg, TN., and was a member of Highland Park Baptist Church.

Georgia was born in Bethleham Community in Wayne County, TN., December 18, 1923 to the late David Clark and Ella Selina Caperton Story.

Georgia married the late Glynn Paul Perry December 18, 1938 in Greenhill, AL.  They eloped on her 15th birthday, with the assistance of Glynn’s brother Woodrow and a friend Paul McLain (who had a vehicle).  They were wed in a small Baptist church.  The preacher asked his congregation to remain after the sermon for the wedding; and they did.

They moved to Bradley, Kankakee, IL., in the early 1950’s where they raised seven children.  They enjoyed being surrounded by grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.  It would be 1988 before retiring to Lawrenceburg where Georgia spent a lot of her time making beautiful quilts for each family member.  She was also quite pleased to spend time with siblings living nearby.  Georgie is known by everyone as a very sweet, kind and gentle person.

She was also preceded in death by three brothers, Earnest E. Story, Rev. Paul C. Story, and Glynn David Story; three sisters, Bessie Keeton, Maudie Andrews, and Lula Keeton; and two son in laws, Jesse Nash and Burt “Mutt” Harlan.

She is survived by

Funeral service will be graveside at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday, April 9, 2014 at Lawrence County Memorial Gardens with Gary Hughes officiating and interment in Lawrence County Memorial Gardens.

Visitation will be 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday, April 9, 2014 at Pettus-Turnbo Chapel.

The pallbearers will be members of the Lawrenceburg Fire Department.

Melba Crowder was a former member of the Lawrence County Retired Teachers Association, The Pilot Club of Lawrence County, the Four Corners F.C.E. Club, the Thursday Club and the Lawrenceburg Study Club.

Martha Frances Wilkerson Johnson

Martha Frances Wilkerson Johnson was the ninth child born to the late Dudley and Elliott Wilkerson on May 10, 1929 in Lawrence County, TN.

Martha received her early education at West Gaines Elementary School in Lawrenceburg and Bridgforth High School in Pulaski, TN.  She took coursework at Columbia State Community College.

In January 1954, Martha began her life with the late William Leslie Johnson in holy matrimony.  From this union, 6 children were born.

Martha retired from domestic work with the late Dr. L.B. Malloy only to pursue a life dream of owning Martha’s Antiques and Collectibles.

Martha was baptized into Christ at the West Gaines Street Church of Christ by the late Dr. K.K. Mitchell, where she was a faithful member assisting youth and ladies.  She and her husband instilled and supported Christian education by sending their children to Alabama Christian College, Southwestern Christian College, Lipscomb University and Freed Hardeman University.

On Wednesday, March 12, 2014 Sister Martha Johnson slept into rest from this life at University Medical Center in Lebanon, TN.  Martha was proceeded in death by one son, William Clay; five sisters; Dorothy McClain, Margaret Wilkerson, Mary C. Cleggett, Marie Sowell and Helen Kendricks; three brothers; Horace, Felton and John E. Wilkerson.

James Anthony “Tony” Huntley, age 72 of Leoma, Tennessee passed away Wednesday, February 26, 2014 at Crockett Hospital after a brief illness.  He was a native of Lawrence County, TN., worked for Murray Ohio, Interstate Paving and for Pepsi Cola Bottling.  He and his wife Frances owned and operated Huntley’s Grocery for several years in the Bonnertown Community.  He sang with The Lowell McGee Singers for over 13 years and he was a member of Bethel Baptist Church.

Delores Nell Methvin

Delores Nell Methvin, age 82 of Lawrenceburg, Tennessee passed away Friday, February 14, 2014 at her residence.  She was a native of Lawrenceburg, TN., and a member of Coleman Memorial United Methodist Church.

On Christmas Eve Eve in 1931, a baby girl was born to Norman Tarrence and Annie Mae Perry James.  They named her Delores.  She grew in statue and wisdom and her love for piano and organ developed over the years.  She was educated in Lawrence County School System, attended Martin College in Pulaski and Florence Teachers College UNA in Florence.

She married Max Methvin in 1950 and 3 sons were born to this union.  Delores taught piano and was bookkeeper for James Insurance for 20 years.  In 1973 she joined her husband as co-owner at Farmers Supply, Inc. until retirement.

Mary Lou Wenner Krieger

Mary Lou Wenner Krieger, mother, wife, daughter, friend and nana passed peacefully from this world on February 3, 2014 surrounded by her family and friends.  She was born on February 22, 1932 in Philadelphia, PA.  She traveled the world, lived and raised her family in Lawrenceburg, TN., and called Millington, TN home for the past 8 years.

Throughout her life, Mary Lou has been dedicated to the pro-life cause.  She has been honored by Tennessee Right to Life organization for her many years of advocacy on behalf of the pro-life cause.  In 2002, Krieger was awarded the group’s inaugural Lifetime Advocate Award in recognition of her commitment and leadership in promoting the protection of human life.  In 2013, Mary Lou was again honored when Tennessee’s oldest and largest pro-life organization announced that the annual award would be officially renamed the Mary Lou Krieger Lifetime Advocate Award.

Her efforts to support the pro-life cause continued in her late 70’s and early 80’s.  Mary Lou volunteered her time at Confidential Care for Women, a crisis pregnancy center.  The center provides services, financial support, and counseling to pregnant mothers and children through the age of two.

The Rosary service will take place from 7pm to 8pm at Neal Funeral Home February 6 and will be officiated by Fr. Joseph Mundakal. Fr. John Kirk will perform Mary Lou’s funeral mass on Friday, February 7, 2014 at 10:30am at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Lawrenceburg, TN

Burial to follow at Calvary Cemetery.

Jane Alexander Fowler

Jane Alexander Fowler, age 70 of Cherry Log, Georgia died on Sunday, February 2, 2014 at her residence.  She was born on December 25, 1943 in Lawrenceburg, TN., to her late parents Clint Alexander and Roberta Odil Alexander. Jane was a member of Ethridge United Methodist Church and attended Cherry Log Christian Church.  She was a graduate of Lawrence County High School Class of 1961 and continued her education at the Draughton Business College.   Following school she worked with the Nashville Life and Accident Insurance Company.  She was an avid sports enthusiast with a deep love for baseball.

Helmut William Kucinskas, age 70 of Lawrenceburg, Tennessee died Monday, February 3, 2014 at Maury Regional Medical Center.  He is retired from the US Army as a CW 3 Warrant Officer having served during Vietnam and he also served in Germany.

William Earl Ratliff, age 81 of Lawrenceburg, Tennessee passed away Sunday, February 2, 2014 at Crockett Hospital in Lawrenceburg, TN.  He was a native of Lawrence County, TN., retired from City of Lawrenceburg and a charter member of Charity Congregational Methodist Church.

Ron Remmers, age 51 of Lawrenceburg, Tennessee passed away Saturday, January 25, 2014 at Crockett Hospital in Lawrenceburg, TN.  He was a native of Peoria, IL., self employed Mechanical Engineer and a member of Church of the Messiah in Pulaski, TN.  Mr. Remmers was an avid coin collector, loved Civil War History and Formula One Racing.  He enjoy attending the Sebring Race every year with his buddy, Jerry.
