Offices of Lawrence County Government will close from 12 Noon until 3 p.m. on Thursday, March 11 to allow employees to attend the funeral services for Sheriff's Department Sergeant David Ellis. We appreciate the public's understanding.

The Coleman Memorial United Methodist Church Men's Club will be hosting a fish fry on Saturday, March 20 from 5:00 - 7:00 p.m. Catfish (or chicken) and all the trimmings, desserts, and drink for $10 (adults) and $5 (children ages 6 - 12). Children 5 and under eat free. Tickets may be purchased in advance in the church office.


Relay For Life of Lawrence County will hold a team captain meeting Thursday, March 11 at 5 p.m. in the Crockett Hospital Women's Center Conference Room.
Anyone who would like to get involved with Relay For Life is invited to attend.


ATTENTION LCHS CLASS OF 1990,There will be a meeting to plan our 20 year class reunion on Saturday, March 20th at 10:00 a.m. at the Lions Nursing Home Activity Center. Anyone that graduated from LCHS in 1990 please try to attend!


David Weathers will host a pitching clinic on March 27th at the Loretto Lions Baseball Complex. Ages 9-12 will be from 9am-12pm and ages 13-18 will be from 1-4pm. Cost of the camp is $50 per child or coach and $30 for each additional child or coach from the same family. For more information or to request a registration form send email to kjdweathers@aol.com


The Lawrence County Purchasing Committee will meet Thursday, March 18, 2010 at 4 p.m. in the Second Floor Conference Room of the Lawrence County Administrative Center. The meeting is open to the public.


The Joint Economic and Community Development Board of Lawrence County
will meet on Tuesday, March 16th at 4:00 PM at the First Farmers & Merchants
Bank on North Locust. The meeting is open to the public.


Benefit for God's Storehouse - Michael Kelley presents "Voices That Change" a vocal impressionist and comedy show. The show will be on April 3rd, 7:00pm at Crockett Theater. Tickets are $10.00 per person and can be purchased at the door or by calling 766-1265. A portion of the proceeds will benefit God's Storehouse. Please join us for a night of fellowship and laughter.
